Program Requirements for Short Count Integrated Doppler Satellite Navigation Solution.

Abstract

The report describes the algorithms used in computing a navigation fix from data provided by the AN/SRN-9A radio navigation set. This set, which is designed to operate with the Navy Navigation Satellite System, obtains doppler data over intervals of approximately 4.6 seconds (short count data). The procedures for obtaining a navigation fix using short count doppler data are based on the procedures for calculating a fix from 2-minute doppler data that are described in TG 819-1 (Rev. 2). A familiarity with that report is assumed. Information is provided on the algorithms for calculating time-ordered satellite alerts. Listings of FORTRAN 4 computer routines for both the short count navigation program and the time-ordered alerts program are included. Procedures for receiver performance/readiness testing and satellite/system time synchronization are described. (Author)
