Acoustic Emission During Electro and Electroless Plating.

Abstract

This paper reports acoustic emission characteristics during electro-plating of chromium and copper as well as those during electroless nickel plating. Acoustic emission pulses are produced by the generation of cracks in the deposit layer and can be used in monitoring the plating quality. (Modified author abstract)
