Analysis of Directional Drum Lens Performance,
Abstract
The performance of a Corning designed directional drum lens is analyzed in terms of the following photometric measurements and calculations: physical dimensions of each prism, peak beam candlepower of the illumination transmitted by each prism, azimuth in which the peak of the candlepower curve for each prism is directed, candlepower of each prism which is directed towards the hot spot of the lens, and calculated per cent of peak hot spot candlepower contributed by each prism.
