Gas-Phase Oxidation of Aluminum Atoms

Abstract

Using a beam-gas arrangement, the reaction Al + O2 to AlO + O was investigated by the method of laser-induced fluorescence. The reactions of TMA (trimethyl aluminum) and TEA (triethyl aluminum) with O3 were studied at low pressure.
