Test of 10-Foot 6 Inches and 16-Foot Prototype Plastic Dinghies,
Abstract
Performance tests were made on a new design of 10 1/2 and 16 foot dinghies, fabricated of woven glass roving and polyester resin. Boats were propelled by oars and outboard motors of 5 - 25 H.P. Boats appear to be satisfactory from the standpoint of construction, strength, capacity and reserve buoyancy. Minor modifications are proposed.
