Emulating a Honeywell 6180 Computer System

Abstract

The Honeywell 6180 is a new, large-scale computer for the MULTICS time-sharing system. This report describes the 6180, and examines the feasibility of emulating it with each of three microprogrammable processors: the Burroughs D-Machine, the Nanodata QM-1, and the Burroughs B1700. Benchmark emulations are presented for each of these machines.
