Synthesis and Properties of Alkaromatic Chlorocarbons, a Class of Thermostable, Chemically Inert, Electron-Active Materials.

Abstract

Forty-three perchloroaromatic compounds and related substances were synthesized and characterized. Types of materials synthesized and reactions investigated were: poly- and perchloroaromatic and alkaromatic compounds, inert and transient chlorocarbon free radicals, perchloroaromatic polymers with ester groups, nucleophilic substitution of chlorine by hydroxy and alkoxy bases, and nitrogen poly- and perchloroaromatic compounds.
