Is ROTC the Answer for Future Officer Production.

Abstract

Army ROTC has been plagued with numerous dissident acts in the past few years as enrollment statistics have steadily declined. A review of current trends and progress being made on new proposals was made in an effort to determine if ROTC would be able to provide the officer production required for the Active Army and Reserve Components in the next five-year period. The analysis concludes that ROTC is the only program capable of providing sufficient officer production in the years to come but is capable of doing so only if enrollment trend is reversed.
