Compressible Flow Solutions in Two Space Variables Using a Successive Perturbation Method.

Abstract

The present work is the result of a study of the Spalding-Patankar pressure linked algorithm treated as a perturbation technique. The ease of use and demonstrated convergence of the method indicate that its extension or generalization might be fruitful in producing new relaxation procedures. This report describes the application of a relaxation method modeled on the pressure linked algorithm to two dimensional compressible flow.
