Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Rotating Two-Phase Thermosyphon.

Abstract

A rotating two-phase thermosyphon fitted with a copper condenser section was tested at 700, 1400 and 2800 RPM using water, ethanol and freon 113 as working fluids. Both experimental and theoretical heat transfer rates were determined. Agreement between theory and experiment was good at low rotational speeds and improved as the rotational speed increased.
