Transmitter/Antenna Coupler Diplex Control System: Eliminates Multiple-Wire Control Cables--Limits Switching to Single-Conductor rf Coaxial Cable.

Abstract

In an existing hf transmitter/antenna coupler complex in which an rf automatic or manual switching matrix is to be employed, the information carried by the multiple-wire control cables must be switched in parallel with the information carried by the coaxial rf cable. This report describes the development and testing of a multiple-tone encoded diplexing system which eliminates the multiple-wire control cables, reducing the switching requirement to handling the single-conductor rf coaxial cables.
