Abstract

The final report summarizes basic mathematical investigations conducted at the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle during the period from September 3, 1970 to August 31, 1974. The research covers the general field of elastic membrane theory with emphasis on finding exact solutions, asymptotic analysis and formulating a theory to include the effects of wrinkles.
