Multilocation Distribution System: A Survey.

Abstract

The multilocation distribution problem and its terminology is described and a framework for categorizing formal models is developed. The literature on theoretical approaches to the problem is surveyed and evaluated. The theoretical results available have not in general led to practical methods of managing distribution systems. It appears that the methodology of stochastic programming under a loss function (or with 'recourse') is the appropriate formal approach to the problem and a very brief survey is included.
