Summary of Seismic Reflection, Refraction, Magnetic and Dredge Station Data Collected During a Geologic Study of the Gulf of Maine.
Abstract
Detailed breakdown of geophysical cruises carried out in the Gulf of Maine are presented. Included are examples of individual seismic reflection profiles, a histogram, listing, and areal distribution of the refraction data; results of a refraction experiment conducted on Nantucket Island, and examples of sonobuoy records which were used to determine compressional wave velocities of various rock units within the Gulf of Maine.
