Pneumatic/Hydraulic Transmission Line Models.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present a set of linearized, low frequency ordinary differential equation models for a fluid filled transmission line (perfect gas or liquid). The models include the effects of frequency dependent friction and large amplitude disturbances in the line. To drive the models, known solutions to the axial momentum equation in the Laplace domain are inverse transformed to the time domain by suitable approximations.
