Graphics Package for Failure Surfaces and Blades.

Abstract

This graphics package was developed for the purpose of illustrating three dimensional mechanics problem of importance to the researcher in composite structures and fan blade mechanics. The package has been specifically developed to illustrate failure surfaces in stress or strain space, and deformed fan blades under bird impact with both bending and twisting of cross-sections. These geometrical figures can be viewed from any point and hidden portions of the figures are deleted. Some sample results for both problems are given. (Author)
