EFFECTS OF ADDITIVES ON THE COMBUSTION OF HYDRAZINE.

Abstract

This is the first quarterly report of a twelve month research program being conducted to study the effects of additives upon the combustion of single liquid hydrazine droplets. These effects will be related to rocket chamber combustion and to combustion instability. Phase I of this study was completed and is described in this report. This involved literature survey for potential additives and combustion test equipment buildup. Preliminary photographic and concentration experiments are being performed in order to more logically choose the additives to be studied in the remaining portion of this program. (Author)
