3.2 MILLIMETER WAVE OSCILLATOR.

Abstract

This program involves the development of a 10 kW pulsed distributed interaction klystron which oscillates at the frequency of 93.75 Gc. Cold testing of the w-band cavity structure has been completed, efforts to determine the optimum coupling coefficient have been redirected toward the development of a mechanically adjustable coupler, the design of the electron gun has been completed, construction of the full scale beam tester and the first HOW-2 tube are nearing completion, and the pulse modulator has been modified to provide the required pulse repetition rate.
