EVALUATION REPORT ON Z(WIANCKO TYPE P2-1401)ZPRESSURE TRANSDUCER,

Abstract

This transducer consists of an absolute pressure pickup with a self-contained carrier system composed of a carrier oscillation and ring demodulator. Zero and sensitivity controls on the transducer package permit field adjustment. To improve frequency response characteristics, the pressure to be measured is applied inside the twisted-tube pressure element instead of through the instrument case where larger volume would cause longer rise time. The case is sealed at atmospheric pressure for an absolute pressure reference. This establishes a minimum full range pressure of about 200 psia for low temperature drift absolute instruments. The sensing element is supported to reduce effects of lateral movements to minimize vibration and acceleration effects.
