Abstract

These instructions pertain to the console as an intergrated unit. The console is used primarily to generate commands which are transmitted to an Agena vehicle through an RF link. The commands are interpreted by the command and programmer package within the vehicle and control the Power Control Unit which in turn controls various vehicle functions. The console also monitors certain telemetry functions through the umbilical and test plug connectors to determine the ability of the vehicle to receive and execute commands. The most important unit in the console is a Message Generator which can be programmed to generate commands in the proper format for all of the vehicle command and programmer packages currently in use, including Orbital Data Acquisition Programmer, the Decoder and single Event Programmer, Operational Programmer, and the Command Programmer.
