ADVENT/AGENA B AEROSPACE GROUND EQUIPMENT. VOLUME II. CHECKOUT EQUIPMENT.
Abstract
The equipment analyzed in this volume is used to check the flight readiness of Advent/Agena B satellite functions before launch. This ground checkout gives the best assurance that the satellite will perform properly when in orbit. The various sections describe the checkout equipment and explain its function in testing the operation of satellite subsystems and components. Some of these operations and components are checked before the satellite is delivered to the launch pad; others are monitored during launch countdown. Following is a brief resume of the function of the checkout equipment for each subsystem and of the satellite system as a whole: Subsystem B (Propulsion), Subsystem C (Auxiliary Power), Subsystem D (Guidance), Subsystem D (Flight Control), Subsystem H (Communications and Control), and Systems Checkout (Satellite).
