Abstract

The checkout van is intended primarily for use in localizing and identifying malfunctions encountered at the launch site during systems checkout prior to start of the launch procedure. The van contains all the instrumentation needed to perform a complete check of the Agena vehicle guidance and flight control systems. Subsystem D components checked by equipment in the van include inertial reference package, computer, horizon scanner, flight control electronics package, secondary junction box, and signals to the pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
