RELIABILITY STUDY OF MCCORMICK SELPH ASSOCIATES M79, MOD 5, LMSD 1062152-1 SQUIB,

Abstract

All units functioned, 112 at ambient altitude and 388 at a simulated altitude of approximately 300,000 feet. There were no visible leaks observed in Water Immersion tests. The bridgewire resistance remained within the accuracy of the measuring instrument. The pin to case readings changed from infinite to a range of 1 meg ohm to 10 meg ohm on approximately 8% of the units tested. This is not considered to be harmful and did not effect the functioning of the unit. There was no appreciable change in the bridgewire resistance caused by the vibration test.
