TUBES, GENERAL ELECTRIC 6BY4 CERAMIC ENVIRONMENTAL TEST,

Abstract

Five General Electric 6BY4 Ceramic Tubes were submitted for environmental evaluation to determine their suitability for possible use as an R-F amplifier in a fire error indicator package. The tubes were subjected to vibration and shock. Information such as the tube heater and plate inputs and the tube output signal amplitude were monitored and observed throughout the entire test. The output signal of four of the tubes remained relatively constant during the vibration and shock tests. One of the five tubes was not tested because it did not operate satisfactorily during static conditions. (Author)
