INERTIA SWITCH, WALTER KIDDE, ENVIRONMENTAL TEST,

Abstract

A sample of this switch type was submitted previously for test but was accidentally destroyed before complete test information could be obtained. A second switch was obtained and tested; the results of which are presented in this report. The switch was subjected to environments of vibration, shock and acceleration with particular emphasis on proper functioning of electrical contacts. The calibration of the unit was checked before and after all tests to see what inertia force would actuate the switch while it was energized. (Author)
