X7A SYSTEMS TEST CONSOLE,

Abstract

The X7A Systems Test Console is housed in a triple bay Emcor Cabinet. It is designed to checkout in the final system run, booster circuits, recovery circuits, timers, squib circuits, auto-pilot circuits, monitor voltages and currents used in the vehicle under test. A programmer is incorporated in the console to program signals to the command guidance system. It also provides a means of simulating the B-50 launching aircraft in performing final count down checks. A means of recording various functions for a permanent record for future data or analysis is also provided. The console is also designed with future requirements in mind; that is, for future vehicle changes, including both air and ground launchings, the console would require little or no changes to perform the test. The patch panel would handle all these changes without difficulty or tie up of the console for long periods of time. (Author)
