CARTRIDGE, TEMPERATURE TEST. PIN PULLER ASSEMBLY 1003574 - CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY A1-S-57 PIN PULLER ASSEMBLY 1003459 - CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY 1006528,

Abstract

The purpose of these tests was to determine the reliability at high and low temperatures of pin pullers and cartridges presently in use on the XQ-5 vehicle. Eight tests were conducted in all, with no failures of any kind. Four of these tests were made with pin puller 1003574 actuated each time with two A1-S-57 cartridges. The remaining four tests were made using pin puller 1003459, actuated with two 1006528 pressure sealed cartridges. Functioning was satisfactory for each case. For each set of pin pullers and cartridges, 2 tests were conducted at a temperature of -65 F and two tests at +250 F.
