A COMMENT ON THE KELLEY-MCSHANE SOLUTION OF THE YAWING MOTION OF MISSILES.

Abstract

The use of a binomial expansion approximation of a square root appearing in the Kelley-McShane solution of the yawing motion is shown to be unnecessary. An interesting result is the derivation of relations for the aerodynamic coefficients which are valid for S<1. (Author)
