STUDY OF MICROWAVE GENERATION BY MEANS OF INTERACTION WITH ANISOTROPIC MEDIA.

Abstract

Tests are made on a number of anisotropic materials in the microwave test fixture. As in previous tests, some difficulty is encountered in making contact between adjacent slices of the test materials. Good comparison to theory is obtained for high-loss materials but higher conductivity materials show excessive loss. The low-loss layered materials previously described have not yet been received. Measurement techniques for slow-wave tests are refined in preparation for studies of the low-loss materials. (Author)
