LASA OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.

Abstract

This report covers the operation and maintenance of the Large Aperture Seismic Array (LASA), in the vicinity of Miles City, Montana. The drilling and casing of the boreholes, the installation of instrumentation, and the checkout and final adjustments were accomplished prior to 1 Jun 1965. Commencement of performance under the Operations and Maintenance Contract began with the task of finding a solution to the problems inherent in most newly conceived designs of the size and extent of the LASA.
