HIGH POWER LASER AMPLIFIER CHAIN TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

This report describes work directed toward the development of a high-power optical radar transmitter. The transmitter is of the master oscillator, power amplifier (MOPA) type, using a spectrally controlled YAG:Nd oscillator and an unconditionally stable chain of glass:Nd amplifiers. Faraday isolators provide the required isolation. (Author)
