WIDE BAND FERRIMAGNETIC LIMITER STUDY.

Abstract

This final report details the work on wideband ferrimagnetic limiters. The bulk of the work consisted of the construction of a 1 kilowatt peak power r-f pulse generator. This equipment is capable of examining the limiter characteristic out to peak pulse powers of +60 dbm. Theoretical work was also performed on the extension of the upper frequency limit for coincidence limiting. Some consideration for subsidiary resonance limiters is also given. An initial experiment with coincidence limiters in C- and X-band was also carried on. Coincidence limiters were found to have a non reciprocal dynamic range and limiting level. A summary of the total work done on this program is included.
