EXCLUSION OF 3-METHOXY-4-HYDROXY ALMOND ACIDS IN PILOTS.

Abstract

Pilots retraining for flights on supersonic aircraft showed 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy almond acid (vanilla-almond acid). It was established, that the exclusion of vanilla-almond acid after flights rose by 80% in comparison with control values, established in the very same time interval. In night urine samples prior to flight was established a double rise in the exclusion of vanilla-almond acid as against the values measured in urine samples taken in control, nonflying days, as the appearance of preflight emotion. Also the rise in excluded stress protein in urine samples after flights in comparison with control investigation was considerable.
