BASIC SHAPES FOR AEROSPACE STRUCTURES. PHASE I - FEASIBILITY SURVEY,

Abstract

This report covers a preliminary survey directed toward providing assistance to the Air Force Materials Laboratory in establishing a more systematic and logical method of planning manufacturing process development programs in support of future aerospace systems. The proposed procedure for accomplishing this goal entails the requirement of defining and characterizing basic shapes of aerospace structures in consideration of their dimensional specifications, mechanical/physical property characteristics, and environmental (service) requirements.
