THEORY OF TURBULENCE

Abstract

Work under this contract has been devoted to research on the theory of turbulence, with emphasis on the applications to shear flow, boundary layers, and thermal convection. The particular objectives of the research have been to develop valid and practicable analytical approximations for the description of turbulent flows by deduction from the underlying dynamical laws, without appeal to empirical parameters such as mixing lengths. This report summarizes research results and lists all publications generated under this contract.
