ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS OF SLED-BORNE DIGITIZER.

Abstract

The sled-borne digitizer was subjected to the following environmental tests at the request of AFMDC. A one minute 100g centrifuge test along each of the three major mutually perpendicular axes; a 2-minute, 50-2000-50 cps, 50g sine sweep along each of the three major mutually perpendicular axes; a 140g, 6.5 ms half-sine shock pulse along an axis perpendicular to the mounting base; and a 130g, 6.5 ms half-sine shock pulse along each of the two major axes parallel with the mounting base. Electronic functioning of the digitizer was monitored by the manufacturer's personnel during and after each test. There were no visible mechanical failures or electrical function degradations observed as a result of the test. (Author)
