THE HIGH TEMPERATURE EVALUATION OF AEROSPACE MATERIALS.

Abstract

Section I describes the evaluation of pedigreed TZM molybdenum alloys with several commercially available oxidation resistant coatings. Section II describes the arc-plasma screening of a variety of materials at heat flux levels in the range of 100 to 1000 BTU/sq ft sec. Section III describes linear thermal expansion data from 20 to 2500 C for Carb-I-Tex 100, ATJ graphite, and L-56 graphite.
