COMMERCIAL SUPERSONIC TRANSPORT PROGRAM. PHASE IIB REPORT. RADIO NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION.

Abstract

This specification covers the design, performance, and testing requirements for the radio navigation equipment for the supersonic transport aircraft. It is anticipated that PVDR capability may be a requirement for the SST airplane. This requirement could modify the description of the VHF navigation package which currently is planned to contain the VOR localizer and glide slope functions. This specification covers the following radio navigation equipment: LF ADF, VHF navigation, Glide slope, Marker beacon, and DME. The requirements specified herein are based on functions to be performed by the SST radio navigation system.
