ELECTRODE MIGRATION AND REACTION PROCESS OCCURRING IN ALKALINE-ZINC BATTERIES

Abstract

A review of the literature dealing with zinc electrode processes is given. The processes reviewed are: anodic behavior; cathodic behavior; and corrosion behavior. Suggestions are also made as to areas where experimental information is, as yet, not incorporated in the published literature. The solubility values of various types of zinc oxide is KOH solutions at about 0 C. is presented.
