PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR IMPROVED RELIABILITY OF SOLID ELECTROLYTE TANTALUM CAPACITORS.

Abstract

The purpose of this Production Engineering Measure is to provide the Production Engineering necessary to improve production techniques to increase the reliability of 33 mfd, 35V solid electrolyte tantalum capacitors, and to conduct process improvement studies to the extent required to meet the reliability level of 0.001 per cent maximum allowable operating failure rate per 1000 hours, with a 60 per cent confidence level, when tested at full rated voltage and at 85 C.
