A COLLECTION OF LINEAR NUMERICAL FILTERS FOR MISSILE TRAJECTORY DATA WITH GENERAL PRINCIPLES AND DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS.

Abstract

This report compiles into one volume descriptions of a number of linear numerical filters for equally-spaced time sampled data that are in use or are contemplated for use at the Air Force Eastern Test Range. The report is intended as a reference document and, to increase its usefulness, is divided into two sections. The first section is intended to serve as a quick reference filter handbook giving only the essential information on the individual filters including formulas for computing the numerical values of the filter weights as functions of the number of samples in each filter span. The second section presents detailed descriptions of the derivations of these filters and includes a very basic treatment of the general principles and concepts upon which these filters are based.
