ADVANCED DIGITAL RECEIVER DESIGN STUDY.

Abstract

This report contains the results of a study of digital receiver design techniques. The ground rules of this study specified that the effort concentrate on the digital reception of analog modulated signals. Emphasis is placed on techniques that are computationally simple to illustrate the feasibility of a real-time digital receiver. The digital receiver problem is considered from the point of view of optimum processes such as matched filters; generalized digital forms of conventional demodulators; and inherently digital techniques which require simple digital operations.
