WEBS PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT.

Abstract

A deep ocean buoy system has been developed for the purpose of collecting and recording nuclear weapons effects data from over-water nuclear tests. In this report, the design philosophy and construction details of the prototype Weapons Effects Buoy Systems (WEBS) are discussed. The conclusions, based on the prototype development, are that 10 systems should be built and that with slight modifications the prototype design should be used. (Author)
