METALLURGICAL RESEARCH AT TECHNISCHE HOCHSCHULE, AACHEN, GERMANY.

Abstract

The metallurgical research activities in Prof. Lucke's and Prof. Bollenrath's groups at the Technische Hochschule, Aachen, are described. In the former, studies of recrystallization, radiation, deformation, internal friction, are the primary fields. In the latter, the research program emphasizes residual stresses, oxidation, creep of high-temperature alloys, and fatigue of welded joints. (Author)
