DEVELOPMENT OF A MINIATURE HIGH FREQUENCY RESPONSE PRESSURE TRANSDUCER.

Abstract

Information is presented on the successful construction of a rugged miniaturized flush-mounted combustion pressure measuring transducer for a liquid propellant rocket engine that shows promise in surviving during unstable combustion operation. Limited amounts of actual field testing under combined environments have been performed on the first prototypes at the AFRPL, Edwards, California. Wide-range laboratory-type environmental tests have been performed, particularly in the thermal survival area. Recent test data show that further improvement in frequency response characteristics and static accuracy can still be expected. (Author)
