CONSTRUCTION OF A LOW-COST TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED ALTITUDE CHAMBER,

Abstract

A simple, inexpensive, temperature-controlled chamber has been developed for continuous exposure of rats or other small animals to low barometric pressures at any desired ambient temperature. Details for the construction of such a chamber are given. The chamber described meets all the criteria of rigorous control and accurate maintenance of the given ambient conditions required of studies on the effects of environmental stress.
