THEORY OF STATIONARY EMISSION OF A HOMOGENEOUS SYSTEM IN A MULTI-MODE CAVITY.

Abstract

In the reference the dependence of the cavity made emission was obtained, which is used in this article for ascertaining optimum oscillation conditions. The optimum value of singular mode losses and the number of active centers are determined. The original equations are used in the case of arbitrary absorption taking the possibility of multiple transists of the pumping radiation through the system and the level shapes into account. An equation of the number of photons is given and discussed. If the extraneous losses mentioned in the equation are sufficiently small, their increase will be accompanied by a decrease in the optimum value of the useful losses, so that the total losses will increase weakly. An increase in the number of active centers is always accompanied by an increase in the optimum value of the useful losses. In case of weak absorption, with p not near unity an approximate analytic solution for two limited pumping cases was obtained namely in the threshold value vicinity and for a pumping which greatly exceeds the threshold value.
