APPROVAL TESTS OF ARKON PRODUCTS, INC. UNICELLULAR FOAM.

Abstract

A sample lot of Type A unicellular plastic buoyant foam, manufactured by the Arkon Products Company, Inc. Patterson, New Jersey, was previously tested for compliance with Subpart 164.015 dated 8 September 1965 of 46 CFR, Specification for Plastic Foam, Unicellular, Buoyant, Sheet and Molded Shapes. In these tests the sample failed to meet the requirements of the specification for volume loss on heat aging for Type A foam. This report covers the retest of two new sample lots of this Type A foam for volume loss on heat aging. The report describes the test procedure used and the result of the test. In the retest, the sample lots met the standards required by the specification. (Author)
