Abstract

This preliminary Failure Modes and Effects Analysis report is the study made of a representative proposed JTF17 Fuel and Control System. This study was made concurrent with design studies of the fuel and control system and concurrent with review of the proposals submitted by various vendors for a particular component. The report is divided into two sections: Section 1 presents the effects of component sense or signal failures on engine operation, and section 2 presents the effects of detail part failures within each component.
