LAMELLAR EUTECTIC GROWTH,

Abstract

It is shown that the diffusion equations lead to an exact relation between the relative widths of the lamellae and the bulk melt composition. It is also shown that the melt concentration at the freezing interface is not uniquely determined by the diffusion equations. (Author)
